Jim McNeer

Jim McNeer is the Chief Operating Officer of Kenneth R. Thompson Jr. Builder, Inc. and co-owner of 5M Rental with his wife, Kim. Jim has more than 30 years of experience in sales, service, construction, finance, and business operations, Jim is recognized by the business community for his strategic and passionate leadership skills, problem solving ability, team building, and commitment to operational excellence. Jim has played a vital role in the growth and success of both organizations by focusing on strategic growth, product and sales innovation, customer service, and building strong relationships with clients, employees, and business partners.

A dedicated community and business leader, Jim has served his community by being involved for many years with The National Exchange Club. He has also served as youth sports coach in baseball, softball and soccer. Jim has served on the board of directors for Associated Builders and Contractors of MS and was the 2025 Chairman. During that time his also served on the national board of directors. He also served on the membership committee and government affairs chair. Jim has long been committed to serving others and helping to improve the lives of everyone around him.

Jim has also been actively involved in his church, serving as Sunday school teacher and serving on the Deacon Council.  



Jim and Kim have been married for more than 35 years. Together they have built successful businesses while raising their family and enjoying the blessings of three adult children, their spouses, and eight grandchildren. No matter what task Jim is working on, he has always been driven by honesty, integrity, leading by example, and a desire to make a lasting, positive impact on the people and communities he serves.
